History
Pasticceria Biffi is a sign that speaks of tradition, since 1847 a meeting point for those looking for old-fashioned Milanese suggestions over a rich breakfast, a business lunch or a tantalizing aperitif.

Founded by Paolo Biffi in 1847, it is located in Porta Vercellina, at the end of Corso Magenta, one of the oldest and most elegant areas of the city.
To this day, the ancient laboratory that has become a pastry shop is still here in Corso Magenta: a place with humble origins where art, creativity and craftsmanship are renewed and exalted at the service of lovers of genuine taste and in respect of the gastronomic and cultural history of Milan .
Among the many anecdotes that accompany the history of this glorious entrepreneurial reality there is that of the interest shown by Pope Pius X who wanted to taste the now well-known Milanese dessert. The Pope asked to try it and was generously satisfied, a panettone of pharaonic dimensions and personally decorated by one of the descendants of Casa Biffi, Paolo who covered it with a tricolor icing and various decorations that expressly recalled the values of freedom. Going further, we discover that in 1866 the cookbook was published, kept secretly, and distributed to customers as a Christmas present. Many recipes that have multiplied over time, enriching themselves with new ingredients and products ranging from confectionery (another pride of the Biffi family is that of being the official supplier of His Majesty the King) to biscuits, from savory pies to pastries and the legendary Colomba Pasquale._cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
We have reached the present day and the ancient laboratory which became a pastry shop is still there in Corso Magenta.
He has overcome many difficulties in the succession of times, history and wars. There we continue to work creating delicacies to guarantee posterity the perpetuation of a tradition, from humble origins, at the service of lovers of genuine and healthy taste, witnesses of the cultural history of Milan. In the third millennium everything has changed, modernity overwhelms us but if you walk along Corso Magenta starting from Piazza della Borsa and stopping where Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper is, you will quickly reach that Forno opened in 1847, which later became the laboratory of Biffi Pastry. A laboratory where art and creativity are renewed and exalted in respect of the gastronomic and cultural history of the Bottega Biffi in Milan.

LOCATION
Our location has been the same since 1847: we are located in Porta Vercellina, in Corso Magenta, still immersed in the atmosphere of the pastry art of the Milanese tradition. Our place has preserved the original furnishings from the late nineteenth century, the ancient mirrors, the grandiose Murano glass chandeliers and the tables in green Carrara marble.
We are proud to be a point of reference for Milanese, guests passing through and tourists: our location is an invitation to stop and rediscover the importance of living at a more relaxed pace, enjoying a moment of pause from the frenzy of today's life and, at the same time, letting yourself go to a dive into the past.

THE PRODUCTS
With one hundred and seventy years of activity, we have declined our production in the best that Italian pastry can offer. The careful selection of raw materials is the starting point of our work: only starting from high-quality ingredients is it possible to propose a refined variety of proposals, such as traditional sweets and cakes, great classics - also in single-portion and mignon versions, unfortunately rare to find today in restaurants or modern pastry shops as they are considered out of fashion.
Mastery of both the most traditional and the most advanced pastry techniques allows us to create every type of product: from fragrant brioches (the beloved croissants of the Milanese) for breakfast, to fragrant shortbread biscuits for afternoon tea; from pastries and single portions, refined chocolate pralines, typical desserts of the festive periods of regional and Italian tradition, to the famous leavened products, including Panettone. Baked at all times of the year, it is strictly packaged by hand with the characteristic wrapping that forms the "4 ears" in the corners.
Not just sweets…here the style of the aperitifs of the past, born in Milan during the 1900s, is also revived intact: whet your appetite without replacing dinner. At Pasticceria Biffi you can also find small tastings that accompany olives, crisps and pretzels, as well as delicious gourmet alternatives such as canapés, sandwiches and vol-au-vents, to be enjoyed in combination with our Martini cocktail, appreciated throughout the city, or accompanied by classic and refined aperitifs, as per the use and custom of the true Milanese aperitif.
